Encoding and decoding using matrices
Matrix multiplication can be used to “encode” and “decode” messages. For that a coding matrix is required which is known to both the sender and the recepient. The following flowchart illustartes this in a vivid way:

the message is [s(k)drc(n)(b)ase_and.] the key is 1 1 0 1 in a 2x2 matrix. and the letters are just A=1, B=2 C=3 etc... and a space ( _ ) is 0.
